We had a fun and exciting sports day we have lots of photos here!
Children, parents and staff all thoroughly enjoyed taking part in an interactive session with The Music Station
Dawn, who works at the John Lewis store at North Farm, Tunbridge Wells, very kindly donated to our school a piano that she no longer had space for at home, and today she came along to visit us, to see the piano in situ. Some of the pupils sang our School Song for Dawn, and presented her with a gift and thank you card. We are very grateful that Dawn thought of us when trying to find a new home for the piano, and we were able to assure her that it will be very much loved.
Volunteers from John Lewis Partnership will be running three workshops for our pupils during Terms 5 and 6 as part of their Bringing Skills to Life community programme, to support our curriculum. The workshops are Positive Patterns and Wonderful Wool, to bring the ideas and the principles of design to life for our Year 1 and 2 pupils, and Wibble Wobble, to encourage our Reception Class pupils to chop, slice, stir and taste as they whip up tasty treats. The children are looking forward to these! Thank you to all the family members who have attended our Science workshop, the children and families have all had an excellent time exploring the science activities with all classes A link the to the photo gallery can be found here.
A very special lunchtime performance on our new piano. We look forward to many more performances. SKPS has had a school visitor every day this week, he must want to join our school. Can you give Mr Pheasant a name?
Our pupils had great fun with this, the challenge was to have a photo taken of you reading in the most strange place, see the results... On the 23 September 2016 pupils, parents and staff celebrated the official opening of our new school building. It was officially opened by Greg Clark, MP for Tunbridge Wells and Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. We would like to thank our pupils, parents, staff and guests for making it such a memorable occasion. |
