Piano finds loving new home

18/5/2017

Dawn, who works at the John Lewis store at North Farm, Tunbridge Wells, very kindly donated to our school a piano that she no longer had space for at home, and today she came along to visit us, to see the piano in situ.  Some of the pupils sang our School Song for Dawn, and presented her with a gift and thank you card.  We are very grateful that Dawn thought of us when trying to find a new home for the piano, and we were able to assure her that it will be very much loved.

Volunteers from John Lewis Partnership will be running three workshops for our pupils during Terms 5 and 6 as part of their Bringing Skills to Life community programme, to support our curriculum. The workshops are Positive Patterns and Wonderful Wool, to bring the ideas and the principles of design to life for our Year 1 and 2 pupils, and Wibble Wobble, to encourage our Reception Class pupils to chop, slice, stir and taste as they whip up tasty treats.  The children are looking forward to these!
